Several years ago Dr. Kurthy was asked to speak at a meeting of a club
called “Mothers Of Multiples,” a club for women who have
twins, triplets, etc.
During Dr. Kurthy’s presentation, he happened to mention that
neither of his children had ever had a cavity. The response from
several of the moms in the audience was, “Yeah, sure! That’s
because their dad is a dentist!”
But think about it. Whatever Dr. Kurthy has his kids do at home,
he can teach the same routine to other parents. And whatever he
does for his children in his office, in terms of preventive dental care,
can be provided for any child. The point is that nowadays it’s
very possible--and even rather easy--for parents who would genuinely
like for their children to never have a cavity, to achieve that goal. All
you need is the knowledge.
Dr. Kurthy has developed a guide for parents that teaches them everything
they need to know and do to prevent their children from getting cavities. He
is always happy to provide any of this information to any patients who
express a concern about preventing cavities for themselves or their children.
